Personality:

| Easy Going / Passive / Doormat | Katsu has seen far to much fighting in his life, and now avoids it all costs.... so he tends to not argue or stand up for what he really thinks. Depending on the situation, this can make him easy to get along with though because he's good natured and happy to go along and do what you want rather than have conflict. He's also easy to talk to, since he'll always be a good listener and there for you... and he can actually can a secret. As well, being really social he's all about the group he is in. If the group wants to go and do something he is one of those people to get excited just through everyone else being that way. So even if, on his own, it may not seem like fun he'd have a great time if everyone else is. It's like good emotions are contagious for him.

| Easily Startled | Due to his previous living conditions, loud noises, especially when sudden, really startle him. At an extreme, they can give him bouts of nausea and the shakes as an effect of trauma. Most of the time though, you'll just notice him leave the area quickly and abruptly, sometimes with hands shaking. For this reason, you can trust you'll find him more often in quiet places like the library rather than noisy places like a club. oddly enough, he also loves to be underwater for this reason, because all the sounds are muffled and it makes him feel calmer.

| Sweet | He's a kind boy at heart, and really likes to make others smile. He tends to be considerate and when you say something he will be the one to remember. (so if you say in passing how the cherry blossoms look good at this time of year he's the one who will show up at your door with a mini cherry blossom tree.) He's happy going out of his way to make others happy and is easily affectionate towards those he knows, bonding quickly and deeply. once your a friend your a friend for life.



Biography:

Akiyama Katsu was born to a more middle class family, consisting mostly of his older brother and his mother. This was a more or less an easy living, since the family lived well together and conflict was always minor and fixed through love. In fact, that was what his family always had in vast amounts, love. Katsu still smiles when he remembers how, because they use to have no money, their mother would take them outside to play on a cement parking lot. It was the funnest times he had as a child. His mother was always warm and loving to her children, encouraging them to do what makes them happy. For Katsu, he explored the arts in all sorts of ways as a child. From little painting sets to tutors in both Voilin and Piano.

Of course, it wasn't always just them. Katsu and his older brother had a father, who's name Katsu still won't even say out loud. At the time, Katsu was told by hs mother that his father was just hard working, which was easy to believe since his mother worked minimal shifts at a nearby coffee shop and yet money never seemed to be an issue. there was not enough to spoil them, no, but always enough to get everything they needed.

Of course, his mother loved his father passionately. At a young age, Katsu loved this endearing quality about his mother... but that changed as he grew up and began to be more aware of the real situation he was living in. His father worked in a booming business... and was married to someone else. When the wife could bear Katsu's father no children, he went looking else wear. At the time this was to a student worker at his firm at the time. This student help, was Katsu's mother, whom had always loved the man, and innocently let him wholeheartedly in to her life.

When his father did come over, more so as the two brothers grew up, he came home angry. Angry and drunk. Katsu forgets these days mostly, except the sound of shattering glass... Instead remembering how easy everything was in the morning, with an apologetic father who would bring his sons close to hold them before he left. He would leave them more than enough money, and always allow Katsu's mother to contact him if more was needed.

So that's how they lived, and Katsu considered it normal.... Till bruises started appearing beyond the neck line of his mothers clothes. Katsu and his brother where older now, old enough to know when she lied to them about how she got them. Katsu just smiled and tried to believe her and cheer her up, Katsu's brother on the other hand got angry.

When his brother was seventeen, they had almost enough money to send him to a good school, a dream come true for the whole family. It was ruined though when his brother had taken all that he could of their fathers brutal beatings on their mother, and when his dad started to throw dishes and get physical with his mother, Katsu's brother came in and beat his own father bloody.

It tore the family apart, as the father took Katsu's brother to court in retaliation. Even when the court found out about the fathers relationship with Katsu and his family, his fathers influence was still enough to send his brother to prison. As an act of defiance, his mother opened up about how things really went on in the home. To the court system, she came clean about the way the one love of her life and beat her, and this was the only thing close to good that came out of it. With the large amount of money obtained, Katsu and his mother moved away from painful memories, to a nice, cozy home closer to the prison but still in a good little neighborhood. they also, finally, had the money to send Katsu's brilliant brother to private school....

Only his brother couldn't go, so his mother sent Katsu instead.
